In 1950, during the height of prosperity in Flint, MI, two brothers purchased dump trucks to begin hauling sand and gravel as subcontractors for major sand and gravel companies in the Genesee County area. Purchasing their parent’s property, they continued to haul sand and gravel while mining material from the property, to sell direct. Through the 50’s and 60’s the original brothers continued to expand business, addressing the critical need for new building materials to sites in the surrounding areas, including Lapeer County and Oakland County, where we are still actively working today. Incorporated in 1972, Fisher Brothers now includes ownership by James Fisher, Mick and Donna Fisher, and Paul Fisher. Early on, Fisher Brothers was building up the city with subdivision projects while building their young families. Today we are building a 4th generation family, while working on major road construction projects like 1-75, and in recent years, supportive materials for the water lines during the Flint Water Crisis. Currently located in Flint, close to I-475, and serving all of Genesee County and the surrounding areas. Large projects aside, we also offer small individual loads of material for privately owned homes and are available to load your own truck with materials in our yard.
